To Kill a Mockingbird can be regarded as a commentary of the American judicial system. I learned that justice in the 1930’s was very different from justice today. Back then; justice had a lot to do with a person’s sex, social class, and race. Their color and appearance in the courtroom was used to decide weather they were innocent or guilty. A good example of this prejudice behavior was in the Tom Robinson case.

To Kill a Mockingbird can be regarded as a commentary of the American judicial system. Justice in the 1930’s was unfair and was eventually changed. Now, in 2001, I feel that everyone gets a fair trial no matter what sex, social class, or, race.
