Social Welfare
Although capitalism has proven to create vast amounts of wealth for nations, unchecked, it does a poor job at redistributing the wealth. Under a complete laissez faire economy there are inevitable large wealth gaps between the richest minority and the poor majority. When a minority, such as the wealthy, has so much control over the majority, such as the poor, it is a government’s duty to protect its citizens from the often tyrannical minority.

underprivileged children the tools they need to make themselves successful. When doing this, however, the government needs to be careful to make incentives to come off the programs. If this does not happen, there will be more troubles like we are seeing in the current Social Security situation. If the United States wants to have a more perfect nation, they need to take care of their poor while still giving incentives to become self-sufficient.
