A former senator, Gary Hart, writes in “Here’s a Better Way to Be Secure”, that Bush’s current plan to prevent further terrorist attacks is in needing of a better security plan. Harts exclaims that in such a time as the recent terrorist events, Americans are not prepared to defend themselves. Because of these recent attacks, America’s top priority is to protect itself from crazed killers.

Too much protection is never enough, however, many measures should be taken in order to avoid fatal and preventable attacks from occurring. President George W. Bush should react quickly and efficiently to the country’s need for national protection. Retaliation must be taken quickly in order to prevent further attacks from taking place.
