predominactly white institutions. The business community has regularly
spoken against anti-quota legislations in the past, and is distinctly
unenthusiastic about anti-preference proposals today, including CCRI
(Czurak 1). Officials at prestigous unversiies regard their racially
balanced student boddies as a major achievement.
