What ever the answers maybe one thing is for sure when the Spanish and English explorers began to exploit the natives for what ever reason they clearly did not respect their culture. So when the historian states, "Neither the Spanish nor the English respected Indian culture and society: this lack of respect enabled them to destroy Native American life with few regrets." They are correct.
